Do you ever get distracted by little things that come up each day or get set back when life’s challenges come your way? Don’t worry, we all do. What if there was a way in just a matter of minutes, to get back on track to a positive and productive mindset.
I’d like to share an exercise with you, that I discovered several year’s ago that works like a charm!
Daily, (preferably in the morning) go to a quiet peaceful spot in your house or it may be outside the house for you nature lover’s like me. Quiet your mind for at least 15 minutes. This may be difficult for most people, as we tend to think about what we have to accomplish that day or think about all the things going on in our lives. A simple and effective way to get to that quiet peaceful state is to reflect on all the things in your life that you are grateful for. Example: Your family, your friends your health, the opportunities that have come your way. This will allow you to, very quickly, change your mindset and thoughts to be positive and also allows you to arrive at a peaceful state.
Then, think about what you want to focus on, it could be your personal or financial goals, a problem you want to solve, or possibly getting clear on what your Life’sPurpose is. After you run the thoughts of whatever you want to focus on through your mind. Then be open to receive the answers. Once you get really good at this exercise and you truly can quiet your mind and open your mind you can tap into your Infinite Power, whether that means the Universe or your God depends on your beliefs,regardless, it is very powerful. And as long as you have faith in the process and allow the process to work…the answers will come.
Getting extremely clear on your goals, your desires and/or your True Purpose, is the key. Your Purpose (what’s most important in your life and why you feel you were put on this earth) is what’s going to drive you and motivate you each and everyday.
When you discover what your True Purpose is Write It Down! This is extremely important! It makes it real. Also make sure you break down all the goals you must achieve to reach your True Purpose (including the date you want to achieve each goal) so you have a road map to follow for your success.
Making a habit of journaling on a daily basis can also be a very effective exercise to sort out your thoughts. You can write down all of your goals and what you want to accomplish, also, be sure to write down any obstacles or struggles you may be experiencing that you feel are holding you back from reaching your goals…this helps you to face that obstacle head on, work through it and then release it forever! You can also ask yourself questions and write down your thoughts, this is a great way to self discovery.
You may have heard many of these positive mindset strategies before in some form or fashion…these principles have been around forever. What’s important is for you to commit to applying one or more of these exercises into your daily routine so that you can have the most productive day you can and not let life’s hiccups derail your focus. It’s about being proactive with your thoughts and not reacting to life’s challenges. It’s important to know that you are in control of your thoughts…and now, you know a method in which you can utilize to turn any negative thoughts into positive and productive thoughts.
